Falkland Road, London N8
The house on Falkland Road was a tired and dilapidated three-bed terraced house with garden that had laid empty for a number of months. Located on the Harringey Ladders, north London, we had to gut the house back to basics in order to bring it back to life and reinstate its long-since departed character. We stripped back the original floorboards to restore them, opened up the large kitchen diner and installed bi-folding doors to flood the space with light. We also restored the beautiful cornicing and original fireplaces while re-structuring the layout upstairs to accommodate a larger family bathroom, and found space under the stairs to put in a downstairs cloakroom. A complete electrical rewiring was needed as well as the installation of a brand new central heating system and a complete damp-proofing course.
The project took 12 weeks.
